Perhaps it will change soon, which we’ll update this guide for. Rock Band 4 is still new, so this process is still being worked on. It really is a pain to have to do, but it’s better than not supporting the old DLC at all, or making you re-buy it all. This will upgrade the song to your Rock Band 4 account, and add it to your game. Find each song you want to import to Rock Band 4 and essentially re-buy it for free. You’ll actually have to go into the PlayStation or Xbox Store, or just go to the Rock Band Store on the game itself. Unfortunately there is no process for re-downloading all of your DLC. Now, that handles the export/import from the main games, but what about individual DLC. Just enter it into the system as normal and follow the same export procedure. If you’re nice enough, and lucky enough, they’ll give you a key. Tell the rep that you need one, they are actually listed under Rock Band 3 so be specific that you are importing RB2 songs into it. By contacting EA support you have a chance at getting a key. You see, official support for exporting has ended, but there is a way around that, at least for now. For eligible players the process is free but (as the music licensing has since expired for the export offer) if you did not previously purchase and export Rock Band 1 on the previous generation of consoles you will not be able to export and download this content into Rock Band 4.Rock Band 2 is a whole lot trickier. This includes all legacy DLC singles, and future DLC singles. These tracks will never export from Rock Band 1. In other important Rock Band 4 news, all DLC singles on PS4 and Xbox One will see their prices set at 1.99 beginning on October 6. Harmonix advises it is working to get these exports available “as soon as possible.” Harmonix notes that the three tracks from the original Rock Band setlist that never exported to subsequent Rock Band games (Black Sabbath’s “Paranoid”, Iron Maiden’s “Run to the Hills”, and Metallica’s “Enter Sandman”) remain off-limits for Rock Band 4. The Rock Band export is not yet available for European PlayStation territories (SCEE) or for Xbox One. Clicking will take you to the PS Store where you can download all the tracks. For players who purchased the export license back on PS3 it will say FREE to the right of the text. Eligible Rock Band 4 players are advised to head to the “Get More Songs” tab, scroll down to “Exports”, and select the “RB1 Disc Export Pack”.
